The SydneyHarborBridge is a steel arch bridge across SydneyHarbor that carries rail, vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The dramatic view of the bridge, the harbor, and the nearby Sydney Opera House is an iconic image of both Sydney and Australia.

The bridge was designed and built by Dorman Long and Co Ltd, Middlesbrough Teesside and ClevelandBridge, Darlington, CountyDurham and opened in 1932. Until 1967 it was the city's tallest structure. According to Guinness World Records, it is the world's widest long-span bridge and it is tallest steel arch bridge, measuring 134 meters (429.6 ft) from top to water level. It is also the fifth-longest spanning-arch bridge in the world


2) ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS:

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney, Australia, are the largest of three major botanical gardens open to the public in Sydney, along with the MountAnnanBotanic Garden and the MountTomahBotanic Garden. The park, managed by the same trust as The Domain adjoining it, is free to access and open every day of the year.

The Botanic Gardens are situated overlooking Farm Cove, directly east of the Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay and Macquarie Street. On the southern edge the Cahill Expressway borders it and on the eastern edge, ArtGallery road.


3) PADDINGTON:

Just further east along Oxford Street from Darlinghurst is the suburb of Paddington. Known for its terrace apartments with wrough iron lace balconies and leafy streets, the suburb is worth exploring for its Victorian era ambience and character.

You can find interesting antique shops here, as well as numerous small art galleries featuring the works of upcoming and established artists.

Elizabeth St and the Five Ways are two places worth visiting in Paddington. On the Five Ways there are three streets that cross Glenmore Road and is lined with buildings that date from the 1800s and the beginning of the last century. There are some great sidewalk cafés here, serving excellent coffees.

Elizabeth St has decorator and other specialty shops as well as antique shops and cafés.

4) BALMAIN:

Balmain is a suburb in the inner-west of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Balmain is located slightly west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Municipality of Leichhardt.

Balmain is located on the Balmain peninsula surrounded by Port Jackson, adjacent to the suburbs of Rozelle to the south-west, Birchgrove to the north-west, and Balmain East to the east. Iron Cove sits on the western side of the peninsula, with WhiteBay on the south-east side and MortBay on the north-east side.


5) COASTAL WALK FROM BONDI BEACH TO COOGEE:

The Bondi to Coogee Walk is a popular coastal walk offering beautiful coastline vistas, cozy beaches and cafe strips for refueling. Its is 6kms long and takes about 2 hours to complete at a good pace, but break that with a freshly squeezed juice or a relaxed coffee and you could take all day - finishing with a relaxed swim at Coogee Beach.

This walk heads south from the promenade of BondiBeach. It is mostly level or gently sloping and combines coastal views, places to swim and places to eat. Easy to follow signs along the coast line, with numerous stops.

1) BONDI BEACH:
BondiBeach is a popular beach and the name of the surrounding suburb in Sydney, Australia. BondiBeach is located 7 kilometers east of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Waverley Council, in the Eastern Suburbs. Bondi, North Bondi and Bondi Junction are neighboring suburbs.


2) MANLY BEACH:

Manly Beach is a well known beach situated in Sydney's Northern Beaches, Australia. From north to south, the three main sections are Queenscliff, North Steyne, and SouthSteyne.ManlyBeach is highly popular with tourists and locals alike; popularity rivaled only by the famous BondiBeach south of the harbor. Manly Council Lifeguards operate a year-round service at South Steyne, and operate from October to April at North Steyne and Queenscliff. Volunteer Life Savers also patrol on weekends and public holiday between October and May.
